This came from my calender Letters To God. I'm sharing it because there are others out there besides me that could use a little peace. The kind of peace only He can give.
My heart for you is peace today,
and I am with you to give you
my peace no matter the circumstances.
Which of us could not use peace in our lives everyday? Many times throughout the day I pray for friends and family. One thing I always ask for is that the Lord would give them His peace because I know how important that is...I need it myself many times throughout the day. If we have the peace of the Lord in our heart and soul it's just easier to get through our days.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."
Jesus...just whispering His name brings us peace. A sweet gift that He alone can give us. When you are in the midst of things that are just plainly "difficult situations" the peace of Jesus can comfort you like nothing else can. We don't need to be fearful of anything. Once we turn things over to Him, and ask for His peace to fill our hearts, we can lay down and sleep it night.
There's a song that comes to mind right now. It's an old hymn. I believe it's called Wonderful Peace written by W. G. Cooper. There are more verses but these are the ones that I remember best and that really speak to my soul tonight. I pray they speak to yours as well. Rest well tonight in the peace of Jesus!
Peace, peace, wonderful peace Coming down from the Father above! Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray In fathomless billows of love! Verses
Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm In celestial like strains it unceasingly falls O'er my soul like an infinite calm
I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace Resting sweetly in Jesus' control For I'm kept from all danger by night and by day And His glory is flooding my soul!
