Do you ever get tired
of the struggle you faceAlways the same
it comes back with no graceYour body is tired
your mind is a messWhat to do now
you've been givin' it your best
Why is it Lord
you ask Him again
That I need to do battle
will I ever win
I'm so tired of fighting
I'm down on my face
Am I going to fail or will I keep pace
Do you ever feel like this? Is there something that just has a grip on you and it seems you may never get past it?
Yesterday at church they talked about Heaven. I'm thinking it will be a great day when Jesus comes back. We won't have to fight these battles anymore!
Until then...take the battles to Him!
Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Amen! When I get tired of the battles I give them to Him. Maybe some day I'll learn to give them to Him first!
Thanks for that reminder! :)
Hi Chelle - great post and great reminder to take all to Him. Today I was thinking how overwhelming some things are and your post has reminded me to take one day at a time.
God bless, precious friend :)

I know there have been trying days when I have thought, "If you decided to come right now, Lord Jesus, it would be just fine with me!" On those days my motives are not so much that I long to be with Him but that I want to escape from some battle here. I have to keep reminding myself that the battle is His and I am not in any situation alone. Good post, Chelle. It bolsters us up where we need some reinforcements!
Blessings!

Hi Chelle,
Oh yes, I do feel like this. :s Sometimes I feel like what am I doing wrong? Then I am reminded that the closer your walk with God is, the more Satan attacks you. The more you are doing for the kingdom of God the more reason Satan wants you out of the way. The going can be tough but when I take my focus off of myself and put it on God the easier it is to keep moving forward.
The day Jesus comes back will be a glorious day indeed! I am excited for it but right now the battle rages and I am thankful I am being attacked because that means I am doing the enemy great harm. So even though I tend to forget there is a spiritual battle going on around me and I get discouraged and can feel overwhelmed and wondering, why Lord? Why does this always happen? He always reminds me that the battle is His and He is fighting beside me and covering not only my back but all of me.
I like to picture an Arthurian war with the horses and foot soldiers. King Jesus is preparing the mighty soldiers and the horses are stomping their feet at the gates of heaven waiting for them to open and the battle horn to be sounded. We are down here fighting and fighting and when the battle is weakening us Jesus sends in re-reinforcements we just need to call out to Him.
I love Deuteronomy 31:6! Thanks for sharing this great verse.
Blessings,

The battle belongs to the Lord. And He will never leave me nor forsake me, so I don't ever have to be afraid. Great encouragement today ~ many blessings!
Love your poem Chelle!
Yes I do feel that way...often, but you summed it up very well with the promise from our Lord..He will never forsake us!..In fact, I summed up my post today with that same message! God is still *AMAZING*

What a freeing thought - a battleless life!
Do I ever! Thank you for the encouraging word Chelle. Blessings.
I am very happy with your words at the bottom of this blog.
They give me courage. Once our battle will be ready and that I am longing for.For today and tomorrow:
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Lieve groet/kind regards!
