In every circumstance we find ourselves in there is one thing we should do first. Talk to our Father God and ask Him what He would have us do. We should always ask guidance from the one who loves us more than anyone else.
Jehoshaphat enjoyed great riches and high esteem, and he made an alliance with Ahab of Israel by having his son marry Ahab’s daughter. 2 A few years later he went to Samaria to visit Ahab, who prepared a great banquet for him and his officials. They butchered great numbers of sheep, goats, and cattle for the feast. Then Ahab enticed Jehoshaphat to join forces with him to recover Ramoth-gilead.
3 “Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead?” King Ahab of Israel asked King Jehoshaphat of Judah.
Jehoshaphat replied, “Why, of course! You and I are as one, and my troops are your troops. We will certainly join you in battle.” 4 Then Jehoshaphat added, “But first let’s find out what the Lord says.”
Think about it. If even the Kings asked the Lord for guidance shouldn't we?
Matthew 6:33
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:33 is a wonderful promise from God. If we seek Him first we are set. Everything we will ever "need" will be supplied!
Today is Sunday...the Lords day. Worship Him...Talk to Him...Seek His will for your life.
Live close to Him and He will be all you ever need or want!

He does come first and we should keep Him first before we do anything in life. I love that statement above all else I wrote a blog about that same statement many months ago and it really touched me because often I know there are times when I do put Him above all else. I try to do things on my own and use my own resources only to find out I could of saved myself allot of trouble had I sought Him first..but I am learning to it's not always easy but I am trying...Great post sis
chelle i agree with the sister above many times we forget to cousel with God and we actually we can safe ourself of trouble..we need more wisdom from God..God bless you friend...

Thanks Chelle, great posting.
I agree wholeheartedly with Desiray, Chelle.
To be perfectly honest, seeking and inquiring of the Lord comes in time, the more we do it, the more it becomes part of our nature to seek His advice and guidance first.
Chelle, I'll tell you when I do go to the Lord first, when I have a strong urge to gossip or complain, or moan about something that has happened during my day!
LOL! :-), but's it true!
I take it to the Lord and have a discussion with Him. It has really helped me to set a guard, over my mouth; and keep watch over the door of my lips - I run to Him rather than pick up the telephone to discuss with my sisters first!
Love this post – God Bless
I have to admit I have a heart that wants to run ahead of God, forge my own path and make my own way but I know the peace and joy of waiting on Him and His timing. Even if the waiting seems really long at times...
Well...... yep..... a great reminder Chelle. Thank you.
