Follow His Path

This is another one of those posts where God just wants me to be transparent and real. It used to be so hard to write like this but I have learned it's much less painful to share myself than not. God always helps me and there is much healing in it when I do what He wants. So...here we go!

I was just over at Tracy's blog...My Daily Walk In His Grace. I went back and read one of her first posts and I have to tell you, the Lord really started speaking to me through it. God is using her blog to speak to many everyday. I pray that Tracy doesn't mind me telling where my inspiration came from tonight.

There is something that I feel God is leading me to do and I'm really quite unsure of myself. Yet, at the same time, very excited about it. But the worst thing is, I am feeling that it shouldn't be me because of things I continue to struggle with. Then I start thinking...how do I know for sure it's God talking to me and just not some random thoughts I'm having? Well, both of these things have an answer. Here they are...

As far as the things I still struggle with...

For the most part I have noticed that I only struggle with them when I am reading about and thinking about what I believe God is calling me to do. So, in my way of thinking...that is just the devil trying to knock me down and make me think I have not changed so I will stop before I begin! The devil is nothing but a liar and if he can discourage us in any way...so we don't go about doing what the Lord calls us to...he will. Earlier today when I was mulling this over God just really spoke to my spirit about this. "You just need to be prayed for so you can be delivered...once and for all...so these things won't continue to have a hold on you. That way the devil can't use them against you to get you down and discouraged."

As far as random thoughts go...

In my wildest dreams I would never think about doing this. In fact, in myself I would be content to just sit in a corner somewhere and pray that no one notices me. But, that's not what God has in mind when He saves us. He wants us to go out and win souls for Him. To help others in any way we can and show them the love that He has for them. We are to have His heart...have His thoughts...show His love...be His feet...be His hands...and be His voice. That's a lot for me to even think about. I always thought I was not worthy to do anything. Then one day I heard a preacher say...Don't say you aren't worthy. The Holy Spirit lives inside of you and because of Him and what Jesus did on the cross for you...you are more than worthy. It's not you that you rely on. It's Jesus working through you.

Well, there you have it. God wants all of us to grow in Him and do what He has prepared for us to do. It always involves people in some way. Whatever it is He has for each of us to do...we need to do it!

Proverbs 3:6

Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.

Proverb 16:9

We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps.

Psalm 37:5

Commit your way to the LORD,
         Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass.

Hi Chelle - I am so glad that something on my blog meant something to you. My heart's desire for my blog is to keep focus on God and if anything I've been through can help then that's good. I want you to know that I have found encouragement on yours. You put things down in a manner that is easy to understand and for me that makes all the difference. I'm adding you to my prayer list, this time for peace that comes from God and for a knowing of your worth in Him (this one is a big one for me!)

I'd love to get to know you better - If you'd like, drop an email for me at teekaytee2@gmail.com
God bless
Tracy

That is awesome! I am having a hard time finding what God wants to do with me at all. I think it might be photography. I have such a passion for it. And I know nothing about it. I honestly JUST bought my camera. So it makes me think that it is what God wants me to do. But then I don't know. I listen for God and I just don't hear him. I pray and never get an answer. I know he is there. I can feel him. But I have such a hard time "hearing" Him.

God has something for each of us to do and some people know just what it is while others may struggle as to know what it is. What I tell people is seek the Lord and come out and ask Him and He will show you. It is never a mystery what God has for us, He has something for all of us to do. And right now what you are sensing is God tugging at your heart, and so now is the best time for you my friend to seek Him the more so. Stay in prayer and make sure you listen you will hear Him speak directly to you.

The only reason that you might feel as though it shouldn't be you because of your struggles is just the enemy whispering to you trying to get you to not seek the Lord because of your struggles you face. Remember none of us are worthy of anything that God does in our lives, but because of His grace and mercy towards us He uses us...don't let the enemy keep you from being a blessing in the Kingdom of God.

Hi Chelle,
In our weakness, God is made strong. Look what He did with the apostles, with 12 men Jesus changed the world. If God is leading, He will provide.
Blessings,
Ken

God is not looking for people who have all the skills and knowledge. He's looking for those who are willing! His power is made perfect despite our insecurities if we are just willing to obey. Its often easy to be misled and discouraged by words satan uses to distract us, but there are so many blessings in our obedience! Great post!

One of my favorite quotes and one that helps me step out is this. . .God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called." I know He is calling you. And in your faithful obedience He will open doors and provide what you need. I am excited to see what great things He does through you. You are in my prayers!
